| 7. Formal Translation Do not be like your fathers or your brothers who trespassed against the LORD {Yahweh, Faithful Judge}, the God of their fathers, and He gave them over to desolation, just as you are seeing. |
| 7. Dynamic Translation Do not be like your ancestors or your relatives who were unfaithful to the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Punisher}, the God of their fathers, so He allowed them to become an object of devastation, as you can see for yourselves. |
