| 6. Formal Translation And he caused his sons to pass through the fire in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, and he practiced soothsaying, divination, and sorcery, and he used mediums and spiritists. He multiplied evil greatly in the eyes of the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Judge}, provoking Him to anger. |
| 6. Dynamic Translation He even sacrificed his sons by fire in the Valley of Ben Hinnom and practiced soothsaying, divination, and sorcery. He also consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD {Yahweh, Sovereign Governor}, making Him very angry. |
