| 7. Formal Translation If a man is found kidnapping one of his brothers from among the sons of Israel and treats him as property and sells him, then that kidnapper must die, and you shall purge the evil from your midst. |
| 7. Dynamic Translation If someone is caught kidnapping a fellow Israelite and enslaving him or selling him, then that kidnapper must be put to death, and you must eradicate this evil from among you. |
