Isaiah 22:4:1עַל־כֵּ֥ןalkentherefore
Isaiah 22:4:2אָמַ֛רְתִּיamartiI said Isaiah 22:4:3שְׁע֥וּsheulook away, or turn away Isaiah 22:4:4מִנִּ֖יminifrom me Isaiah 22:4:5אֲמָרֵ֣רamarerI will be bitter, or I will weep bitterly Isaiah 22:4:6בַּבֶּ֑כִיbabekhiin weeping Isaiah 22:4:7אַל־תָּאִ֣יצוּaltaitsudo not urge, or do not press Isaiah 22:4:8לְנַֽחֲמֵ֔נִיlenakhamenito comfort me Isaiah 22:4:9עַל־שֹׁ֖דalshodconcerning the devastation, or concerning the destruction Isaiah 22:4:10בַּת־עַמִּֽי׃batamithe daughter of my people
4. Formal Translation
Therefore I said, “Look away from me; I will bitterly weep in my tears. Do not hurry to comfort me concerning the destruction of the daughter of my people.”
4. Dynamic Translation
That is why I said, “Turn aside from me; let me cry out in my tears. Do not rush to comfort me over the devastation of my people’s daughter.”
