| 2. Formal Translation The LORD {Yahweh, Supreme Judge}, the God of Israel, declares: “Go to Zedekiah, king of Judah, and tell him, ‘Thus says the LORD: Behold, I am handing this city over to the king of Babylon, and he will burn it with fire.’” |
| 2. Dynamic Translation Listen to the message from the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Ruler}, the God of Israel: Go and tell King Zedekiah of Judah, “The LORD says, I am handing this city to the Babylonian king, and he will burn it with fire.” |
